Finally we have established contact with the Ireneus family branch in the UK.

After some time with a life "among the living" and not a life "among the dead" I will restart my genealogy research. I have decided to start digging into another family branch with the name Ireneus (its my grandmothers cousins).
A couple of members of that branch emigrated to UK and USA.

I have signed up with another internet provider and have had a few problems to get the connection working -
from now on it seems to work fuss-free.
My new connection is very fast with 100 mbps both up and down.
My genealogy research is now focused on my mothers family branch and a lot of minor updates are made.

I have got a question if its possible to translate the name Bäckagården into English. The nearest translation I can
find in my dictionary is "the farm at the creek".

Fagerskog Family Association has held its 50th meeting at Bäckagården in Marbäck.
The finances are good to excellent with a surplus of 3659 SEK (about US$600)
the last 12 months.
The total amount of money (wealth) in the book is SEK 54966 (about US$8750).
The surplus will be put on the Bäckagården maintenance book-account.
The board was reelected for 1 year.
Next years meeting will preliminary be held in Stockholm at the War Archive.
It was decided to send out an updated member list.

Jim and Lyla today started their trip back to Stockholm to take the train to Gothenburg. They will leave Sweden on Friday (27th) 6.45 AM local time and expect
to arrive in Los Angeles, CA Friday at about 2 PM local time.

Today its exactly 129 years since Svante Fagerskog drowned in the lake Kall (Kallsjön).
Today we have been visiting the county administration board to see (and take photos of) the governors residence and the oil painting of him.
The governor was 1st cousin of Fridtjof Fagerskog. His name is (was?) Svante Herman Kvarnzelius (1864-1938). Svante Herman was governor of the Dalarna County 1922-1932.

Now we have moved home again - and its time to renovate the rest of the apartment. A workj wich will take about 4-5 weeks but we still are able to live in the apartment.

More living persons added to Jonas Björkmans family branch. One of them is a Grand Master of chess.

The Björkman family branch updated. Jonas Björkmans (1770-1819) branch has been considered as extinct.

A new project is initiated together with the Family Association to reopen the file of Annika Hugosdotter who
is said to be a descendant
of the Scottish Hamilton clan. The goal is once and for all to find out whether she is a Hamilton or not. The odds to
find her ancestors are/is not good.
