Notes
Prior to the Second World War my father ran his own Export and Import Business trading mainly between Scandinavia and the UK.
Obviously all changed with the outbreak of war and he effectively lost his business. My father then retrained and worked as an engineer in the Aircraft industry and stayed there until his death from Bowel Cancer in 1957.
Dad retained his Swedish Nationality as did all of his friends in the Birmingham area who were from Scandinavia, he was very popular both at work and at the local pub he had wealth of knowledge about animal husbandry and raising crops so we always had fresh supply of
vegitables, eggs and chickens etc.
