E-mail from Breanne Woods:
I am afraid that I may not be much help. Most of my grandparent have died and taken my ancestry with them. I did find some old letters from when my maternal granfather's aunt visited Sweden and visited the places where our family lived. In the letters she said that we were related to Anders Johannesson through his son Carl Johan. I am not sure how. I guess through one of Carl's daughters. My great grandfather was A.T. Berquist ( I believe he changed his name from Anderson when he immigrated to the U.S.). He married a woman (presumably one of Carl Johan's daughters) in Sweden and had three/four children before moving to the state of Illinois and continuing the family. I am assuming that it would have to be Maria since Amanda died so young.
This may help you--in the letters my great aunt said that she traveled to Sweden with Russell and Gretta Anderson of Walled Lake, Michigan. She said, "Russ is a grandson of Svenning Andersson- youngest brother to our grandfather Carl Johan".
I will be happy to look through the letters and see if there is anything else that will help.
